Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of MultiTenant. Please read them carefully — particularly the sections on the per-tenant merchant model and platform fees, which describe how payments work on your booking page.
Per-tenant merchant of record
The MultiTenant platform provides booking, scheduling, customer notifications, and payment-infrastructure software to businesses such as salons, clinics, consultants, and studios (each, a "Tenant"). The platform is a software provider only.
Each Tenant is, and remains, the merchant of recordfor all payments made by its end-customers through the Tenant's booking page. The platform does not act as a reseller, marketplace operator, payment aggregator, or agent for the Tenant in respect of those end-customer transactions. The Tenant is solely responsible for: pricing its services, honouring bookings, issuing receipts to its customers, applicable indirect taxes (including GST) on its services, refunds and chargebacks to its customers, and customer support for the services it sells.
To enable those payments, each Tenant connects its own Razorpay merchant account to its workspace via Settings → Payments → Connect Razorpay. The Tenant's Razorpay keys are encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM and used solely to create orders, verify webhooks, and process refunds on the Tenant's behalf through the Tenant's own Razorpay account. The platform never holds, transmits, or has access to end-customer card or UPI data — payment data is collected and processed by Razorpay Checkout under Razorpay's terms.
Plain-English summary
We build the booking software. You own the customer relationship, set your prices, and get paid directly by your customers through your own Razorpay account. We are not a party to that payment.
Platform fees, subscription, and payment processing
No platform fee on customer payments. The platform does not take any percentage, commission, or transaction fee on payments made by a Tenant's end-customers through the booking page. Standard payment-processing fees are charged to the Tenant directly by Razorpay under Razorpay's pricing, and are settled into the Tenant's own bank account.
Subscription revenue is separate. The platform charges the Tenant a flat monthly or annual subscription (Free, Starter, Pro, or Enterprise tiers) for use of the software. That subscription is billed through the platform's own Razorpay subscription product, not through the per-tenant Razorpay Connect account used for customer payments. The two flows are independent.
Plan limits. The Tenant's subscription tier governs the volume of bookings, email, SMS, and WhatsApp messages that may be sent in a calendar month, plus access to features such as custom domains. Volume exceeding the plan is gated with HTTP 402 Payment Required on the public booking and bulk-message routes, and surfaced in the dashboard usage banner.
Accounts, eligibility, and acceptable use
To use MultiTenant you must register an account, provide accurate business information, and complete Razorpay KYC if you intend to accept online payments. You are responsible for the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
You agree not to:
- Use the platform for any unlawful purpose or in violation of Indian or applicable local law.
- Book payments for services you do not actually provide, or mislead customers about the nature, price, or timing of a service.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the platform, except to the extent expressly permitted by applicable law.
- Upload malicious content, scrape other Tenants' data, or interfere with the platform's security or rate limits.
Data, privacy, and customer information
The platform stores business profile data, service catalogues, bookings, customer contact details, and notification logs on behalf of the Tenant. End-customer data collected through a Tenant's booking page is controlled by the Tenant (as data controller or business, as applicable); the platform processes that data only as a processor/service provider for the Tenant.
Our handling of personal information is described in detail in the Privacy Policy. Tenants are responsible for providing their own privacy notice to their end-customers describing how the Tenant uses booking data.
Service availability and modifications
We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Scheduled maintenance, third-party outages (including Razorpay, Meta WhatsApp Cloud API, Twilio, or our hosting provider), and force-majeure events may temporarily interrupt the service. We will communicate material outages via the in-app status banner and the public status page.
We may add, change, or remove features over time. Where a change materially reduces functionality, we will give reasonable advance notice by email and in-product banner.
Intellectual property
The platform, its source code, design system, and trademarks are owned by the platform operator. Each Tenant retains ownership of the content they upload (business name, service descriptions, branding assets, customer data). You grant us a limited licence to host and display that content solely to operate the service on your behalf.
Suspension and termination
You may stop using the service at any time by disconnecting your Razorpay account and cancelling your subscription from Settings → Billing. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, fail to pay the subscription, or pose a security or legal risk.
On termination, we will delete or return your stored business data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (financial records, tax invoices) or by our payment-processing partners.
Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The platform is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the platform's total cumulative liability arising out of or relating to the service will not exceed the subscription fees paid by the Tenant in the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim. We will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, customers, or data.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The "Effective date" at the top reflects the most recent revision. For material changes, we will give at least 14 days' notice by email and an in-product banner before the new terms take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
